Psp Firmware Downgrade

6.39 TN-A : Total_Noob adapte son HEN au 6.39

Peu après la mise en ligne du firmware 6.38, Total_Noob annonçait avoir trouvé non pas une, mais bien deux failles kernel qui lui permettaient d'adapter son HEN à ce firmware . Hackman , grand ami du développeur suisse, mit en ligne une vidéo afin de prouver les dires de Total_Noob, mais confirma que le HEN ne serait pas mis en ligne. Les raisons de ce refus de partager leur travail est, d'après Hackman , l'attitude de la scène PSP , qu'il a qualifiée "d'ingrate". Ainsi, ils n'ont publié ni leur HEN , ni les deux failles kernel .

Cependant, Some1 , en mettant en ligne son Downgrader , révéla une autre faille kernel . Hackman et Total_Noob ont alors discuté avant de se décider à adapter leur HEN à cette nouvelle faille, et à le partager avec les personnes qui ne se sont pas tournées vers les Custom Firmwares PRO et qui sont ainsi restées fidèles au 6.20 TN .

Cette adaptation ne présente aucune nouveauté, il s'agit d'un simple portage du 6.20 TN-E au firmware 6.39.

Currently Hellcat has only been successful in downgrading PSP-1000 and early (non-TA088v3) 2000 models. Whether or not that changes, I don’t know… Perhaps Hellcat’s method can be adapted to later models with a little trial and error. If not, then my question is: What’s the point? Ok, I see the point if you’re not equipped with a Pandora battery. But then around again, with all the latest kernel-driven homebrew enablers , what’s the point in downgrading? Don’t get me wrong; Hellcat, we still want the new Recovery Flasher!

We need GEOHOT, now come all the GEOHOT haters. Who is doing more for the PSX scene than GEOHOT, NO ONE! Hopefully we won’t have to wait for the PSP2 as he suggested on G4TV’s Attack of the Show, and he will continue his work on the PS3. When the PSP2 comes out hopefully he will open it up to homebrew. Fuck Geohot. He steals the works of others and releases it as his own. He never accomplished jackshit with the PS3, on his own. The keys he released, it’s based off fail0verflows work, not his! And his contribution to the iPhone scene is the same too, all of that work belonged to Team Dev.

Next time do some research before you start sucking someone’s cock, like a crackwhore in need of a quick fix. It’ll keep the herpes off your lips and the fresh cream from running down your chin.

Hellcat’s recovery flasher does work for the newer PSP motherboards, As it is able to write to the Flash… That being said it doesn’t mean they can make a custom firmware!

Once the PSP’s flash has been overwritten with a custom firmware it WILL NOT BOOT, thus why we can only load it in the memory but after a cold shutdown it is erased from memory this is because of the PRE-IPL restriction of YOU being able to run the Custom Firmware.

This process hasn’t been by passed, if it was we would all see Custo Firmware on the newer 2k’s and other new PSP Models.
