Grace M. Noel Zeth
LITTLE VALLEY - Grace M. Noel Zeth, 85, of Sawmill Run Road, Little Valley, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at home.
Mrs. Zeth was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Duncansville, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Martha G. Lingerfelt Noel. Grace was a homemaker and had also worked outside her home for Truck Lite of Falconer, as a bus driver for Laidlaw of Jamestown and was a volunteer for the Salamanca Senior Nutrition Program.
She was a Communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Randolph and the Altar & Rosary Society, as well as the Randolph Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 2273. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and their families. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed quilting and sewing. Grace's last hand-written message was as follows- "Remember me with smiles and laughter, as I will remember you all. If you have to remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."
Surviving are four daughters: Shirley M. Zentz of Mayville, Theresa A. Walker of Burns Flat, Okla., Patricia R. Stoll of Portland, N.Y., and Mary L. Milks of Randolph; three sons: John C. Zeth of Jamestown, Joseph P. Zeth and Daniel T. Zeth both of New Market Ala., 28 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; and a sister; Dorothy A. Garber of Hollidaysburg, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin C. Zeth, whom she married Nov. 27, 1941, and who preceded her on Dec. 15, 1996; a grandson Thomas Zeth; five brothers: William, Blair, George, Joseph and Arthur Noel; and two sisters: Alberta Lanzendurfer and Mary Flynn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Randolph with the Rev. Joseph Janaczek as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Randolph. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the VAN RENSSELAER and SON FUNERAL HOME, 14 Church St., Randolph.
