I feverishly read magazines like GamePro and EGM to figure out how I could expand the experience and came across only one way: GameShark on Game Gear as an old man to my left put up with my pontificating about how awesome Sonic was the whole way down. That old man probably wanted nothing more than to suffocate me with the in-flight pillow.
I still remember, clear as day, heading over to my neighbor’s house one afternoon in 1999.
